Chemical Computing Group (CCG) is a life science software company, dedicated to producing leading drug discovery technologies for both pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

CCG’s product, the Molecular Operating Environment (MOE) is a comprehensive system that integrates visualization, molecular modeling, protein modeling and bioinformatics, cheminformatics and QSAR, high throughput discovery, structure based design and pharmacophore modeling in one package.  In addition to the suite of graphical applications, MOE contains a toolbox for adapting existing applications or creating new applications for Life Sciences. With MOE, occasional users, expert modelers and application developers can benefit from sharing the same software system.

We currently have positions open in our Scientific Support department at the head office in Montreal, Canada. CCG offers a creative and dynamic working environment, competitive salary and health care plan.

As a scientific support specialist your primary responsibilities include:

• Daily interaction with customer base

• Supporting client specific scientific queries

• Creating customized software solutions

• Reporting to the Director of Scientific Services as well as collaborating with our internal multi-disciplinary team

• Managing customer expectations in a timely and effective manner

• On-site customer visits with in-depth explanation of software functionality

• Scientific presentations at symposia/conferences

• Developing application training materials

• Developing course work

Requirements

• Superior interpersonal and presentation skills

• Team spirit

• The ability to introduce and maintain courteous customer relations

• Good knowledge of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Drug Discovery process

• Familiarity with UNIX and Windows and some programming experience desirable

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. with equivalent experience in Computational Chemistry or related field

• Fluent in English
